Thu 10 Feb 2022Mrs Beatty enjoyed teaching numeracy outside earlier this week. William, Blake, Riley, Poppy, Frankie and Kyla in Room 5 all worked together to make addition sums using things they found in the playground as did Abi-Louise, Amelia, Kal and Brody from Room 6. Lily-Mae, Lamar and Clara from Room 7 used little daisies to show how the teens numbers can be made from one ten and some ones. Well done everyone!

Northern Ireland Under 18 Schools squad
Sun 23 Jan 2022We were delighted to hear the amazing news that former pupil, Ryan McKay, has been selected for the Northern Ireland Under 18 Schools squad. He represented our football team when he was in P6 and P7 and it was clear to see even then that he was an outstanding talent. He currently plays for Dundela FC. His dad, Jonny, was always there to support and help out with our teams when he could as well. This photo was taken after he was selected as the player of the tournament at the Ashfield competition. Well done Ryan!

End of Term
Mon 20 Dec 2021Dear Parents,
School will finish at 12.00 tomorrow, Tuesday 21st December. School meals will be available for those who wish to stay and they should be finished by around 12.15.
Pupils are due to return on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
As you’ll all be aware, we can’t anticipate the situation we could be facing then regarding the spread of the new covid variant. Should there be any changes in January, I will contact you, so try to keep an eye closer to the time on our usual communications.
Many of you have had a difficult few months and it’s probably been one of the worst for us here in school too. I want to thank you for your patience this term when children have been in and out of school, isolating when we haven’t been sure what illnesses has been going round, and above all, working with us to keep everyone safe. The very low number of positive cases we’ve had has shown how well we’ve worked together.
I want to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Gourley.
