  • Families First finalists

    Tue 15 Mar 2022

Parents, thank you again for all of your nominations to send us to the finals of the Family First Awards again.

We have been nominated finalists as Best School, Mr Bleakly is a finalist as Best Teacher and we’re delighted to carry over nominations for two of our outstanding classroom assistants form the postponed event in 2020. Mrs Karen Kane and Miss Carla Ferguson were both nominated for Gold Star Awards for their outstanding contributions in our school.

Now we need all of your votes. Please vote for each  finalist-it’s the quality of the comments that will impress the judges rather than quantity.

Thanks for getting us this far and let’s build on the fabulous success we had here 3 years ago.

Voting comments are now open at   www.famliesfirst.com

  • Creative Writing Workshop

    Wed 02 Mar 2022

Mr Ryden's class became authors for a morning after taking part in a creative writing workshop run by Fighting Words Belfast at the Skainos Centre. After working collaboratively on the start of a story, each child then went off and finished it using their own ideas. They were each given a copy of their own individual stories in a special storybook. Thanks to Mícheál from Fighting Words Belfast for organising the workshop, all the volunteers who helped mentor the children during the morning and Katie's granny and Elsie's grandad for accompanying the class.

  • Relax Kids

    Thu 24 Feb 2022

Sinead from Relax Kids joined P2-4 in school today. The children developed practical, easy and fun strategies to improve their mental health and well-being. As you can see they LOVED taking part in these interactive and engaging activities. We are looking forward to welcoming Sinead back next month to work with more VPPS pupils. Thanks to Mrs McKnight for organising these fantastic sessions. #wellbeing #mentalhealth #relaxkids #VictoriaParkPrimarySchool

We are really grateful to both of them taking the time out of their busy schedules to share this important message with us as we strive to keep our home and communities safe.
