• End of Term

  Dear Parents,

   

  School will finish at 12.00 tomorrow, Tuesday 21st December. School meals will be available for those who wish to stay and they should be finished by around 12.15.

   

  Pupils are due to return on Wednesday 5th January 2022.

   

  As you’ll all be aware, we can’t anticipate the situation we could be facing then regarding the spread of the new covid variant. Should there be any changes in January, I will contact you, so try to keep an eye closer to the time on our usual communications.

  Many of you have had a difficult few months and it’s probably been one of the worst for us here in school too. I want to thank you for your patience this term when children have been in and out of school, isolating when we haven’t been sure what illnesses has been going round, and above all, working with us to keep everyone safe. The very low number of positive cases we’ve had has shown how well we’ve worked together.

   

  I want to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.

• Super Santa Trophy Day 2021 Dance Competition

  Faith and Lacey from P6 took part in the Super Santa Trophy Day 2021 dance competition at the weekend. Both came second in their age groups; Lacey in the Fast dance and Faith in the Fast and Slow dances sections. Well done girls!

  

• P6 and P7 Rugby Session

  The P6 and P7 classes have each recently enjoyed a taster rugby session with coaches from Civil Service (NI) RFC. We are very grateful for them coming in and we're hopeful they may be back in for further sessions in the new year.

  

• Erin's Football Team

  Erin's football team came first in their tournament last weekend. She brought her trophy in to show her Room 13 classmates. Well done Erin!

• Gymnastics Competition

  Congratulations to Elsa in P2 Room 4 who recently entered her first ever gymnastics competition recently. She won three medals: one was for first place and two for third place. What a wonderful start to this sport!

  

• Mixed Martial Arts Competition

  Chrissy-Lee from P5 Room 10 was delighted to show off the two medals he won in a mixed martial arts competition in Newcastle at the weekend. Well done Chrissy-Lee!
