This week in P6 we are having a go at writing an explanation about what happened when the Vikings attacked Lindisfarne, an island off the North-East coast of England.

The children are using internet searches and library books to help them to research information.

Using the scaffolded notes provided, the children are organising their research into paragraphs. They are encouraged to use relevant drawings or diagrams to illustrate their sentences.

On Friday they will try to use all of the information that they have to write up an explanation about the raid at Lindisfarne.
