Week 2

Week 2 – Literacy

Both Mr Bleakley and Miss Boyd have been so impressed by everyone’s hard work throughout week 1.  It was lovely to see everyone working so hard and trying to continue their learning from home – keep up this great effort!  We have created a home learning checklist to help you to think about some hints and tips to keep home learning working well in the coming weeks.

As a reminder, your work will be a mix between some online links and some worksheets.  You can complete the worksheets on paper, just like you would in school, or you are free to print these if you need to.  On Monday – Thursday you should complete one activity a day from those listed below and then on Friday, complete the writing task.  If you have any spare time, choose an activity from the Literacy Challenge Grid from the week 1 page.  We will be posting the answers to the work at the end of the week, so you can see how you have done.  Remember to also learn the spellings listed below too.  When you have completed this page, go the World Around Us section on the home learning zone and try one task from the Egypt Learning Grid.

This week we will be continuing with our work on Charlotte’s Web, with chapter 6.  In the last week of school, we read up to chapter 5 together.  If pupils missed this, please don’t panic.  We have included catch up links in a document below.  This week our focus is adjectives, and in particular, comparative and superlative adjectives.  This week’s writing activity is all around the mystery of the Sphinx and his missing nose!  Enjoy!

Have a great week P5!
