Numeracy Activities
Monday
Cut and stick template to make their own clock. Sticking it on a paper plate or some cardboard will help strengthen it. The long minute hand should be coloured blue (we call it 'big bossy blue') and the small hour hand should be coloured red ('little red'). The children can use their clock to help them complete the work set for the rest of the week.
Tuesday
Learning o'clock times.
Wednesday
Draw the hands on the clock to show the time. Use a blue for the long minute hand and a red for the short hour hand making sure the children draw them different lengths.
Thursday
Colour the long minute hand blue and the short hour hand red. The children should read the number the red hand has just past to help them read the time.
Friday
Draw half past times on the clocks. Use blue for the minute hand and reinforce when it is pointing at 6 it means half past. Draw the red hour hand after the hour it has just past.
