Curriculum Complaints
Complaints Regarding the Curriculum
At Victoria Park we pride ourselves on providing a broad and balanced curriculum, fulfilling the requirements of the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum (CCEA, 2007). In the unlikely event that a parent has concerns about the curriculum provision these concerns may be expressed as detailed below. All concerns should be raised with the class teacher to begin with, and in most cases this will allow for a timely and appropriate resolution. In the unlikely event that parents wish to take the complaint further, they can be raised by working through each of the following stages.
- Stage 1: Contact class teacher via school office.
- Stage 2: Contact Principal
- Stage 3: Contact Chairman of the Board of Governors
- Stage 4: Request that the matter be considered by the Education Authority complaints tribunal. Serious complaints should be specifically detailed in writing and given to the Principal or the Secretary of the Board of Governors to enable the matter to be examined and a reply to be made.
For general complaints please consult the school policies - available on request
