This is a topic which the children have only covered briefly and they will look at in more depth at their next school. They should watch the Corbettmaths video on adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator (the bottom of the fraction). The video covers both addition and subtraction but today's activities are only on adding fractions.  Squares and Triangles should complete at least Adding Fractions with Same Denominator Worksheet 1; Circles should complete at least Worksheet 2.

Circles and some Triangles should then watch the video on adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators. They should then try to answer as many of the questions on the Adding Fractions with Different Denominators worksheets as they can.
