Charging & Remissions Policy

 

Education in Victoria Park Primary School is provided free of charge for all lessons and activities connected with the child's entitlement under the Education Reform Order.

 

It is the school's belief that education should be free of financial charge to parents. However, in the past, parents have given voluntary contributions to assist with the cost of day trips which are arranged from time to time, as well as other class outings. Such trips, which are seen as an important part of the children's education, could not take place without such additional contributions from parents.

 

It is our intention to continue this arrangement, with the support of parents, keeping any contributions to the minimum required to cover the economic cost of the trip. Should the voluntary contributions not cover the costs of the activity, the Governors reserve the right to cancel the activity.
