Weaving 

Creating a summer picture. 

Measure equal cuts across the top and bottom of the card. It is important that they line up with each other. 

Place your string in the first slit and tie a knot to hold it in place. A piece of cellotape will help keep it really secure. 

Pull the string down to the slit opposite and continue to string along to make the loom. 

Tie a knot and tape down the string on the last slit. Make sure you don't pull the string too tight or the loom will not lie flat. 

Weave strips of coloured card in and out of the loom. The first piece so go under string, over string and continue in this pattern. The second piece should then do the opposite starting over the string and then under. Continue weaving card strips the whole way up the loom until it is full. 

Trim and stick down the edges of the strips.
