  • Choir at The Hope Club

Wed 18 Dec 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Miss Boyd, Mrs Mitchell and the choir were in action once again this afternoon as they performed for the members of The Hope Club at Strand Presbyterian Church. They sang a selection of Christmas favourites as well as the two pieces they sang at the carol service. The choir have been really busy over the past week, singing at lots of school and community events and everywhere they have gone their audiences have commented on how superb they sound and how well they look. As a school we are really proud of their dedication and commitment as well as their super behaviour. Many thanks to Reverend Rankin for his invitation to sing today and to the members of The Hope Club for their hospitality.

  • The Hopeless Camel

Tue 17 Dec 2019 Mr Hutchinson
The boys and girls of P2 acted out the story of the Nativity in their fantastic performance of 'The Very Hopeless Camel' last week. They were accompanied by the beautiful singing of the P3 choir and instrumentalists. Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate the story of Christmas in a very special way and wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from P2 and P3.
  • Choir at Belfast City Airport

Mon 16 Dec 2019 Mr Hutchinson
The choir had a great time carol singing this afternoon at George Best Belfast City Airport in the terminal building. Santa even flew in for a quick visit and the choir sounded so fantastic he brought them each a gift. Thank you to the airport for their invitation and for their hospitality.
  • P4-P7 Nativity

Wed 11 Dec 2019 Mr Hutchinson
The festive season was kicked off in style at Victoria Park as all our P4-7 children performed to a packed out audience at St Brendan's yesterday morning. The children retold the story of Jesus' birth through readings, carols and poems. The choir and orchestra also performed pieces during the service and beautifully displayed their talents. Pupils from P5 had recorded parts of the Christmas story using the green screen app and this really added to the occasion. We are grateful to the parishioners of St Brendan's for allowing us to use the church for our service today and to Cameron Gorman, one of our past pupils, for expertly assisting with the sound. Thanks to Miss Boyd, ably assisted as always by Mrs Mitchell, for all her hard work putting today's service together.
  • Follow The Star

Tue 10 Dec 2019 Mr Hutchinson
P1 had a fantastic morning at the 'Follow the Star' workshop which took place in Bloomfield Methodist Church last week. They listened to the Christmas story and made lots of lovely Christmas crafts. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful morning.
