Relax Kids
Thu 24 Feb 2022Sinead from Relax Kids joined P2-4 in school today. The children developed practical, easy and fun strategies to improve their mental health and well-being. As you can see they LOVED taking part in these interactive and engaging activities. We are looking forward to welcoming Sinead back next month to work with more VPPS pupils. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service
Thu 24 Feb 2022Today P5 had a visit from Teddy and Adam from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. They reminded us all about fire safety in the home and even took the time to show us their fire engine. We are really grateful to both of them taking the time out of their busy schedules to share this important message with us as we strive to keep our home and communities safe.

Post-Primary Admissions

Don’t delay – apply today! The Post-Primary Admissions process closes on Wednesday 23 February at 4pm and we want to make sure that we reach anyone who has not applied.
Parents of P7 pupils need to apply for their Post-Primary place for September 2022. If you know a family with a child due to transfer to post-primary in September, please let them know about this post.

Teaching Numeracy Outside
Thu 10 Feb 2022Mrs Beatty enjoyed teaching numeracy outside earlier this week. William, Blake, Riley, Poppy, Frankie and Kyla in Room 5 all worked together to make addition sums using things they found in the playground as did Abi-Louise, Amelia, Kal and Brody from Room 6. Lily-Mae, Lamar and Clara from Room 7 used little daisies to show how the teens numbers can be made from one ten and some ones. Well done everyone!

‘My Science’ Microbiology Society Champion Activity
Wed 09 Feb 2022The two P7 classes recently enjoyed taking part in a ‘My Science’ Microbiology Society Champion activity offered through the STEM NI Hub in conjunction with Queen's University. They learned all about microbes and carried out their own scientific investigation swabbing places around the classroom to see what microbes could be found there!
