  • P4 at W5

Fri 29 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
P4 had a great day filled with exploring and investigating at W5 on Tuesday. They went to the 'See and Do Experience' and 'Discovery Area' and had great fun on ClimbIt! Thanks to all the parent and auntie helpers!
  • Sickness

Fri 29 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Please do not send your child into school if they are unwell. This will help their recovery and also reduce the risk to the other children and staff. If they have had vomiting and/or diarrhoea, they need to stay at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode.
  • Well Done Soffi

Thu 28 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Soffi from P6 brought in the trophy she won for finishing third in the 'East Belfast's Got Talent' show at Strand Arts Centre. She sang David Guetta's 'Titanium' featuring Sia. Well done Soffi!

Wed 27 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
A reminder that Monday is the last day for purchasing tickets for our Christmas Dinner day on Friday 13th December. The usual dinner price of £2.60 applies (pupils receiving free school meals do not have to pay but they must let their teacher know if they are taking one that day). No tickets will be sold after 10am on Monday as final numbers must go to Mrs Miskelly to facilitate the ordering of food

Another P3 gymnastics superstar! Faye brought in the two medals she won in a recent competition. Well done Faye!
  • Thank You Jessica

Tue 26 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
P5 had a wonderful time meeting Jessica Clarke who has recently returned from living in India. Jessica told them all about the differences between living in Northern Ireland and India and brought some everyday items for us to compare. Miss Boyd and Jessica have been friends since they were in P5 and we are glad to report that they still are due to the children's excellent behaviour! Thanks to Jessica for giving of her time so freely. The children had a great time and have deepened their understanding of what everyday life is like in India.
  • Mathematics Challenge

Sat 23 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Congratulations to all the P7s who participated in the Primary Mathematics Challenge last week. They were all presented with certificates in assembly. Well done to all the children who took part.
  • Well Done Olivia

Thu 21 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Olivia from P1 brought in the two medals she was awarded at a gymnastics competition she took part in. Well done Olivia!
  • Online Safety

Sun 17 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Do you know what age children need to be to access social media? Nearly all of them require users to be at least 13 years of age including Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok. Some sites can be a dangerous place for younger children, potentially exposing them to bullying, inappropriate content or grooming. We have been made aware by a number of parents recently of situations where their children have potentially been put at risk from their online activity. Please take a few minutes today if your child has a phone or electronic device that gives them access to the internet and check what apps and sites they are accessing. It may also be worth investigating putting parental controls in place so they are unable to download apps without your permission.
  • Well Done Zac

Sat 16 Nov 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Our P1s are definitely a talented bunch. Zac from Room 1 recently graduated from Water Babies. Well done Zac!
