Lyrical Dancer of The Year Competition
Tue 30 Nov 2021Well done to Faith from Mrs McDougall's class. She came fourth in the trio in the Under 12 section of the Lyrical Dancer of the Year competition. A fantastic achievement Faith!

Charlie's Gymnastics Competitions
Mon 29 Nov 2021Charlie in P5 Room 10 has had a very successful month. She has competed in two gymnastics competitions in Londonderry and Enniskillen and came home with lots and lots of medals even though she was one of the youngest competitors there! Congratulations, Charlie!

Mathematical Association's Primary Mathematics Challenge

Anti-Bullying Week
Mon 22 Nov 2021Room 4 celebrated Anti-Bullying Week last week by decorating their kindness tree. First they discussed all the ways they could help others to feel happy and appreciated in school, then they drew pictures of themselves being kind. They also read the picture book The Good Egg, which reminds us how to be kind to ourselves, as well as to others.

Junior Parkrun
Mon 22 Nov 2021Mr Ryden was delighted to see a number of our girls taking part in the junior parkrun at Victoria Park when he was volunteering there yesterday. Out of the 67 children there, Abbie from Room 14 finished in 6th position and Abigail from Room 13 finished in 12th and got a new PB. Abigail's younger sister, Beth, also took part for the first time which is amazing as she is only in P1. Well done girls!

Odd Socks Day
Mon 15 Nov 2021We enjoyed taking part in Odd Socks Day today, the first day of Anti-Bullying Week. Odd Socks Day is a chance for the children to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week in a positive way by wearing odd socks for the day. It's to symbolise that we are all different and that children should be themselves, accepting of one another and celebrate difference.

International Reading Literacy Study
Mon 01 Nov 2021Mrs McKnight's class were selected to participate in the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) the week before half-term. All the pupils did an amazing job and received a certificate for their efforts. Well done Room 13!
