Thu 28 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson
We were delighted to attend the Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum's 'Celebrating Anti-Bullying Week' event at the MAC Theatre this morning. Ellie from Mr Ryden's class was invited along to receive her prize as one of the winners in their competition to write a report on the theme “RESPECT in the Cyber World”. She received a certificate and a £50 gift voucher. Well done Ellie!
  • Cinderella & Rockerfella is Nearly here

Thu 28 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Here are a few behind-the-scenes photos to whet your appetite.  It is a real team effort and all the children involved and staff (most of them anyway!) are working so hard to put on an amazing show!
  • Player of the Tournament

Thu 28 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Congratulations to Ebony. She was selected by Mr Ryden as his player of the tournament at the recent BPSFA girls' football 5-a-side competition. He was particularly impressed by her battling qualities and how she led by example

  • Cinderella & Rockerfella

Mon 18 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson
The children who are involved in this year's school production, 'Cinderella & Rockerfella', all received information last week about costumes. Please return the permission slips to Miss Boyd tomorrow so their names can be included in the programme. These details will be forwarded to the printer so it is essential she gets this information in the morning. More details for cast and choir members will follow this week as will details about when tickets go on sale. Songs and lyrics from the show are now available in the Music section via the Children tab of this site
  • Delamont - Room 14 - Day 2

Mon 18 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson

A very busy day today for Mr Ryden's class. They did archery and climbing in the morning followed by shelter building in the grounds of the park this afternoon as it was too dangerous to go canoeing due to the high winds. They are hoping to either go for a night walk or a second archery session this evening followed by a campfire.

  • Delamont - Room 14

Mon 18 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Room 14 Delamont photos finally sorted! Apologies for the delay. The boys were up bright and early (i.e. not a lot of sleep for a few of them!) so Mr Ryden was able to try again before breakfast.

  • Delamont

Thu 14 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Another super day at Delamont for the children in Miss Campbell's class. Archery and climbing in Killyleagh in the morning and an adventure walk in Tollymore Forest Park in the afternoon. The weather was too bad to do anything this evening but they hope to squeeze another activity this morning.

  • Another win in the Under 10 Football Cup!

Thu 14 Mar 2019 Mr. Gullen

This afternoon, Wednesday, the Under 10 team consisting of P5 and P6 players, defeated St. Oliver Plunkett by four goals to three in an incredibly tight match.

The match began with both teams having their periods of superiority before Riley met Zach's corner with a perfect header to send Victoria Park one nil up. The visitors responded well and were able to find two goals of their own to head into half time in the lead.

Victoria Park wasted no time after the restart, with Evan equalising within a minute before he bagged his second soon after. The game continued to be end to end before St. Oliver Plunkett were able to force the ball home and bring the match to three all. With only a few minutes remaining, it seemed as though the game was headed for extra time, however a misplaced corner by the visitors saw Lee N. pounce. He picked up the ball in the centre circle, turned his man and ran under constant pressure, before hammering the ball into the back of the net.

A superb result against a quality side means the team now wait for the quarter final draw.

Team: Lee B. (GK), Lewis, Jackson, Sebastian, Zach, Jay Jay, Evan, Riley, Lee N., Alex, Dawid.

  • World Book Day Dressup

Wed 13 Mar 2019 Mr Hutchinson

We love World Book Day! There were some brilliant and imaginative costumes as always last Thursday.
