• Health Fair

  Our parent support officer, Rachel, has organised a Health Fair on Thursday morning in the school hall. There will be a wide variety of different organisations with stands: EBCDA (nutrition/smoking/mental health); Cancer Focus (sun safety and general health/cancer prevention); Belfast Trust (oral health); Parenting NI; NI Chest, Heart and Stroke; Autism NI; Disability Sport NI; and Belfast City Council (preventing food waste). There are also health check options such as diabetic risk assessment and blood pressure. It would be great to see you there.

  

• Ashfield Boys' Primary School Soccer Sevens tournament

  After coming close for so many years, our football team finally won the Ashfield Boys' Primary School Soccer Sevens tournament on Friday Morning. They beat St Matthew's 1-0 in the final. Kameron Black was also named as the Player of the Tournament by the organisers. Our B team also made it through the group stage before losing their semi-final against Orangefield. A massive well done to Mr Dunlop and all the boys who represented the school so magnificently.

• Strand Cinema ticket winners for 100% attendance in December

  Congratulations to our latest winners of Strand Cinema tickets: Harvey (P1 Room 2), Anna (P2 Room 3), Elijah (P3 Room 6), Jackson (P4 Room 7), Hollie (P5 Room 9), James (P6 Room 11) and Mallie (P7 Room 14). Their names were picked out of the hat for achieving 100% attendance in December. Well done guys!

  

• Food Values
