Christmas Celebrations
Tue 17 Nov 2015As we grow in numbers in school we are already outgrowing our space available in the hall. We are delighted to have parents in over Christmas to join us in our Christmas celebrations but we must also be aware of the Health and Safety of our children and you as our visitors and have to prevent overcrowding. As space will be extremely limited in some of the services we are restricting attendance to 2 adults per child. 2 Tickets will be given out per child. These will be free but no one will be admitted without a ticket, as we must stick strictly to safe numbers in the hall.
Due to Health & Safety and the limited space, prams or buggies cannot be brought into the main hall. They may be left out in the hallway.
Also, please respect the effort the children put in to prepare for the events. We do allow babies and infants but I must ask you to please leave the hall if they become distressed or unsettled as this interrupts the performers and prevents the audience being able to enjoy and hear the children taking part.

Past Pupil Successes
Mon 16 Nov 2015It is always lovely to hear of our past pupils succeeding and doing well as they continue in their Education journey. Casey McMillan left us to go to Grosvenor Grammar School. From there she achieved a First Class honours degree in Psychology, then got a Distinction in her Masters and has now just been accepted onto a Doctorate Course at Queens University to become a Clinical Psychologist. Well-done Casey!
It was also a privilege to be invited to Bloomfield Collegiate's prize giving before Halloween and to see the number of Victoria Park pupils receiving prizes. Hannah Lavery and Meg Watterson, received Year 8 prizes along with
Beth Clarke. The 3 girls received about 7 prizes between them!
Lauren Gorman and Helen Maguire also received a number of prizes for their achievements in Year 10.

However, we wish our pupils well for their tests. Belfast, South-Eastern and North-Eastern schools will begin publishing some of their Open Nights later this month and early December. A list will be sent home from school, please check these carefully and plan to view as many as you can in the area and that are of interest to your child.
