  • P4's Space Day!

Tue 25 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - it was blast off last week for P4's Space Day! They found out about British astronaut Tim Peake and designed and played their own space numeracy board games. The children also had great fun making space cookies, flying saucer buns, space sandwiches and ice cream space shakes. Plenty of brilliant moonwalkers, astronauts and aliens were also sighted. It was certainly OUT OF THIS WORLD!

  • Turkington

Tue 25 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
    "We needed some help...😃👦👧👩‍🏫
From time to time we need some expert advice, so who better to turn to than the pupils in Victoria Park Primary School. The school neighbours our redevelopment site on Connsbrook Avenue, therefore with local knowledge we asked the pupils to decide on a name for the new apartments. After some very difficult judging, Clanmil Housing Association have chosen ‘Wolff Apart...ments’ as the name. Well done & a huge thank you to the staff & pupils for taking the time enter. Our H&S Henry was glad to have a day out of the office!! 🤩👏"

Well done to competition winner Nathan (P5 Room 10) and runner-up Jodee (P6 Room 11). They were both presented with a certificate and a gift card by Turkington. Thanks to the company for inviting the school to get involved in naming the new development.

  • Tunes and Treats

Mon 24 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson

On Thursday 20th June we celebrated the continued progress and success of our school musicians at our annual Tunes and Treats concert. Family and friends were entertained by our school choir, orchestra and individual musicians as they enjoyed treats prepared by Mrs Miskelly and her team. The children involved have been working very hard this year and as a school we are very proud of each of them; it was a wonderful morning. Thank you to Mr Kane, Mr McCann, Mr Tinney and Mrs Foreman our instrumental tutors who work hard all year to help our children grow as musicians. Our thanks also to Lauren and Rebecca, 2 Bloomfield students who have helped each Thursday at choir practice. A special thanks as always to Mrs Mitchell, our accompanist, for her dedication and encouragement throughout the year.

  • Tunes & Treats

Our school choir and musicians are looking forward to 'Tunes and Treats' this Thursday. They've been working very hard and they're looking forward to performing for their friends and family. Tickets are available at the office and light refreshments will be served.
