MacMillan Coffee Morning
Tue 09 Oct 2018We were delighted to again take part in the recent Macmillan Coffee Morning and this time we extended it to the whole school, including parents who dropped in to have coffee and a chat. Lots of the children bought buns and cakes too. We were overwhelmed by the support and the phenomenal generosity shown. Our overall total for the morning was £390. Thank you for donating and to everyone who was able to drop in to share the morning with us.

They went to see their fantastic new production of ‘Under the Hawthorn Tree’, a new stage adaptation by Cahoots NI of their class novel this term. There was extra excitement when the theatre had to be evacuated when a fire alarm went off but fortunately the show still went on! Thanks to Ebony's mum and Poppy's grandad for accompanying the children

Car Park Barrier Reminder
Fri 05 Oct 2018This morning before school, a member of staff was almost run over by a parent in a silver car who came through the barrier and down into the drop-off.
As you are aware this area is closed off and only staff may park in the spaces beyond the barrier. No other cars should be in this area, whether the tape is up or not! This area has been closed due to a child being hit by a car last term.
This could very easily have been another child and the consequences could have been much ...worse!
Work will begin later this month on a permanent barrier to protect our children. School has to pay for this ourselves at a cost of £25,000. Money which we could be using for our children’s education.
