They've only gone and won it again!
Fri 18 Jan 2019They've only gone and won it again! After so many near misses, our football team were the overall winners of the Ashfield Boys' Primary School Soccer Sevens tournament for the second year in a row this morning. They beat Strandtown on penalties in the final. Rylan was also named as the Player of the Tournament by the organisers. Unbelievably, our B team also won the fourth place trophy beating Strandtown B on penalties as well. A massive well done to Mr Gullen and all the children who represented the school so magnificently.

They sang so beautifully that Santa even flew in from the North Pole to bring them a special treat. He was so impressed that he told Miss Boyd that all the choir have made it onto his nice list! Thanks to all the parents and friends who came to support us and to Mrs Mitchell for accompanying our fantastic singing.

Neighbours in Need 2018
Tue 18 Dec 2018We have been delighted by the great response to our request that the children donate a pound or two to the East Belfast Mission 'Neighbours in Need 2018' appeal instead of buying cards and presents for the staff. They are trying to raise £7000 to support 1,000 local families in need by offering Christmas hampers. Thank you so much everyone for your amazing generosity so far!

Christmas around the World
Mon 17 Dec 2018Community Relations, Equality and Diversity in Education (CRED) is part of the Northern Ireland Curriculum. It aims to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence of pupils in understanding their own identity and to respect and understand the identity of others. It provides opportunities for learning about different backgrounds and traditions. At Victoria Park Primary School we wish to promote a culture of respect for difference in whatever form it may manifest.
Following on from that we will be having our Christmas Around the World Day today. Each class will spend the day learning about a different country and its unique Christmas traditions.
