  • Young Enterprise 'Business Beginnings'

Mon 10 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Our two P7 teams had a great time selling their products at Victoria Square Friday last as part of the Young Enterprise 'Business Beginnings' programme. Pete Snodden from Cool FM, a Young Enterprise Ambassador, came down to support the event and was very impressed with their entrepreneurship. Thanks to Miss Campbell for accompanying the children as well as Seán and JP, our mentors from Odyssey Bowl, for giving up their time to support the teams.

  • NIBFA Under 11 Cup

Mon 10 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Rylan brought in the NIBFA Under 11 Cup that his Glentoran 2008 team won a few weeks ago after beating Coleraine in the final. Well done to him and the rest of his teammates on such a fantastic achievement. You may remember that we announced in February that he was selected to play for the Belfast Primary Schools Representative Squad, only the fourth Victoria Park pupil to ever have done so. He will play in the Bryson Cup in two matches at Seaview against Arklow Town FC next weekend. The first match is on Friday evening at 7pm and the second is on Saturday morning at 10.30am. Entry is free so if you're able to get down I'm sure he would appreciate your support. We're sure you'll do Victoria Park proud Rylan!

  • Well Done Eva

Wed 05 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Eva from P4 brought in her growing collection of medals that she has won playing for CI Ladies Hockey Club. Well done Eva!
  • George Best City Airport

Wed 05 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
P5 Room 10 visited George Best City Airport last week to see behind the scenes. They got to explore inside the fire station, the new terminal building and watched planes taking off from the watch tower. We are grateful to the airport for inviting them along and giving each child a goodie bag filled with treats. Thanks also to Poppy’s mum for coming along to help with the trip. It was a brilliant morning.
  • Thank You

Wed 05 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who braved the elements to accompany the Peters children to the cinema yesterday morning and the P3s to the farm. We couldn't organise trips like these without your support. It is very much appreciated.

  • Reminder

Wed 05 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
A reminder for P1 parents that the children are finishing at 12pm today (or 12.20pm for those who take school dinners) as the new P1s starting in August and their parents will be visiting the school this afternoon.
  • Cancer Research Race for Life

Mon 03 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
Well done to brothers and sister Cole (P7), Zac and Ty (P5) and Willow (P1) who took part in the Cancer Research Race for Life at Stormont last Sunday. It was lovely seeing the medals they got for taking part.
  • P4 Jayden

Mon 03 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
We really do have some very talented footballers at Victoria Park. Jayden from P4 is travelling to Glasgow next weekend to play a Rangers team and will also enjoy a tour of Ibrox with the Rangers Advanced Centre. He plays for Crusaders but he was also lucky enough to be selected for the Rangers Advanced Centre after taking part in trials a few months ago. We hope you have an amazing time Jayden!
  • P1 Room 1 Heroes

Mon 03 Jun 2019 Mr Hutchinson
P1 Room 1 loved dressing up as their favourite superheroes for their class assembly last week. Don't they all look amazing?
