Thank You Jessica
Tue 26 Nov 2019P5 had a wonderful time meeting Jessica Clarke who has recently returned from living in India. Jessica told them all about the differences between living in Northern Ireland and India and brought some everyday items for us to compare. Miss Boyd and Jessica have been friends since they were in P5 and we are glad to report that they still are due to the children's excellent behaviour! Thanks to Jessica for giving of her time so freely. The children had a great time and have deepened their understanding of what everyday life is like in India. -

Online Safety
Sun 17 Nov 2019Do you know what age children need to be to access social media? Nearly all of them require users to be at least 13 years of age including Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok. Some sites can be a dangerous place for younger children, potentially exposing them to bullying, inappropriate content or grooming. We have been made aware by a number of parents recently of situations where their children have potentially been put at risk from their online activity. Please take a few minutes today if your child has a phone or electronic device that gives them access to the internet and check what apps and sites they are accessing. It may also be worth investigating putting parental controls in place so they are unable to download apps without your permission. -

Missing Library Books
Tue 12 Nov 2019Unfortunately Mrs Walker is still missing 50 books from our library from before Halloween. Last year over 200 books were lost. If we continue to lose books at this rate there will be no library left. It has left us with no choice but to start to now ask for parents to pay for the full value of the book rather than £5 which we had done previously. If the fine isn’t paid no further books will be issued. Please take 5 minutes today to check around the house to see if your child hasn't returned theirs or ask their teacher if you are unsure. Thanks in advance. -
