• Swimming for P4 - P7

  Swimming (Templemore Avenue Swim Centre)

  As in previous years the school proposes to continue to provide the opportunity for all children to be given instruction in swimming throughout the year.

   

  Term 1

  P5/6: Rooms 9,10,11 and 12

  Term 2

  P4/P7: Rooms 7,8,13 and 14

  Term 3

  Preparation for the swimming gala.

   

  The cost for both transport and coaching will be £3.00 per child. This will be collected at the pool. Swimming caps are compulsory and can be purchased at the baths for £2.00.

   

  The swimming programme started on Monday 14th September.

• Fitness Freddy

  The pupils of Victoria Park P.S. are taking part in a Fitness Freddy Health & Fitness Challenge on the 22nd October 2015

   

  Proceeds will go to School Funds

   

  The sponsor sheet is available in the entrance hall and should be returned to an authorized class teacher with the funds raised.

   

  Each child must raise at least £3.00 to enable them to take part.

   

  This is an extremely worthwhile venture and I would like to thank you in advance for your support.

• School Choir

  Choir rehearsals started on Thursday 17th September from 3:00 - 3:45pm and will continue each Thursday until half term.

   

  During the incoming year we have many exciting events planned both in and out of school for the choir to participate in and we hope that your child will want to be a part of it. Our first performance will be at the Harvest service followed by the official school opening.

   

  If your child enjoys singing or wishes to improve their confidence and team-work skills please fill in the permission slip available in the Entrance Hall.

• School Dinners

  Our school dinners are planned carefully in line with National Nutritional Standards. A varied, healthy menu is provided for our children in our Sandbrook Dining Centre every day. Dinners cost £2.50 per day. A 4 weekly menu is available in the entrance hall.

• PE Kits

  We have introduced a really smart new PE kit. These are great value at £10 for a drawstring bag, shorts and T-shirt, all with the school logo. Please call into the office to order these. They are not available elsewhere. While we are awaiting delivery, your child may wear their old kit - navy shorts, white top, no football kits please. All children must have a PE kit and suitable footwear to take part in

  PE lessons.

• Building Update

  We have had some work on-going over the summer. Our annex (Sydenham Room) is now complete and furnished and ready for use. This room will be used for music lessons, waiting club and homework club. Children at these clubs should be collected from the front of the school where they’ll be brought out to you.
