• Farewell to P7 2016

  P7 are now approaching their final weeks of school and are counting down the days until their summer holidays begin. We hope they have had an enjoyable year, They will be missed by their class teachers. We wish them well in their future and hope they settle in well in their new schools!

   

  Just a reminder to those not taking part in the Leavers’ Service

  School will close at 12.00 for everyone except P7 and choir who will be taking part. School dinners will be provid­ed as usual for those who wish to take them and they will be dismissed around 12.20.

• Return to School

  Sat 25 Jun 2016

  Please note that school will begin again on Wednesday 3lst August. This is to standardise the starting dates with all of the other local primary and nursery schools in the area. School meals cannot be provided on that day and all pupils, Pl to P7, will finish at 12.30. Thursday 1st September will be a normal finishing time.

   

  All after school activities and Waiting Club will commence week beginning 12th September.

• Building

  Over this past year it has been incredible to see our beautiful new school continuing to be enhanced with the fabulous artwork and displays inside and the on-going work to provide outdoor play facilities and pitches for the children.

• Leavers’ Service and Prize Giving Ceremony

  We will be having our P7 special Leavers' Service on Friday 24th June at l.00pm. This will take place in school this year and all P7 and our school choir will be taking part. Invitations will be issued to all P7 par­ents, but we have to limit the number of guests to 2 per pupil please due to limited space in the Assembly Hall. You are invited to join us afterwards in the School Dining Hall for Afternoon Tea.

  It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of another school year and indeed our eighth year as Victoria Park Primary School. It has been another very busy year with the many activities that have taken place. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support throughout the year, whether it was in accompanying on trips, helping in school or at special events, financial support of spon­sored and fundraising events and also through encouragement and providing that very important home backup in occasions when it was needed.

   

  I would like to thank all the teaching and support staff at Victoria Park Primary School for their commit­ment to the school throughout so many initiatives and changes this year. There have been many hours of hard work also put in behind the scenes in implementing curriculum changes and constantly striving to raise standards and provide a high standard of education for our pupils.

   

  I would also like to thank all the many volunteers who come into Victoria Park to provide additional sup­port for our pupils, most of it voluntarily which ranges from Time To .. Programmes, extra reading support and other areas . The additional help and time given so willingly is really appreciated.

   

  If you have other questions or need information about school in September please do not hesitate in contacting me.

   

  I wish you a peaceful and relaxing summer holiday and look forward to the return of our children of Victoria Park Primary School, our new Primary one children and a number of other pupils from local schools who have enrolled to begin in September.

• Ozone Complex

  The P7s had a great time on their last trip at Victoria Park to the Laser Zone at the Ozone Complex this morning. Thanks to Ella's mum for coming along and beating most of the children and Mr Ryden!

• Strand Cinema

  P4-P7 children who are in Andrews house will be going to the Strand Cinema tomorrow afternoon to watch 'The Angry Birds Movie' as a reward for being this term's winning house. Well done!
