  • Rainbow Communications 5-a-Side Tournament

Mon 04 Feb 2019 Mr Hutchinson

Our footballers continued their rich vein of form as they progressed to the finals of the Rainbow Communications 5-a-Side Tournament. They topped their group at Shankill Leisure Centre on Wednesday afternoon winning their games against Gaelscoil na bhFál, Edenbrooke and Harding Memorial and drawing against Holy Child and Sacred Heart. As well as that, our younger players also had a resounding 8-1 victory against Nettlefield on Thursday in the first round of the Edco Under 10/Year 6 Cup. Well done to Mr Gullen and all the children involved. Read the full reports on the website.

P5 went to the Linen Museum in Lisburn on Wednesday to learn more about how linen has been used for thousands of years both in Ancient Egypt and here in Northern Ireland. They made fantastic death masks and even got to see a piece of linen from Tutankhamun’s tomb! Thanks to Charlie’s grandad, Kacey’s uncle, Archie’s aunt and Skye’s granny for helping out.
