During Wellness Week our P3-P7 pupils had a visit from Ian from TEN Foundations, a charity run by volunteers here in Northern Ireland that works in the Philippines with families living in extreme poverty. Pupils really enjoyed finding out all about his charity, how ‘one bag can change a life’ and exploring themes such as fair trade and global citizenship. All the money goes directly to the livelihood programme in the Philippines created by Ten Foundations. Over the next number of weeks School Council will be setting up shop for pupils to make purchases. There is an array of lunch bags, lunch boxes, pencil cases and swim bags available for sale in school.
