Football Festival Day
On Tuesday 13th November, the football team took part in a 7 a-side festival day at Inverary, along with Orangefield, Gilnahirk and St. Joseph's. The team looked fantastic in their brand new away kits and competed well against the three other teams. Unfortunately results didn't go our way, losing each game by a single goal, although we had some very good efforts that could of made a big difference.
The first match against Orangefield was a narrow one nil defeat, with Rylan being denied by the post. In the next game Rylan's well taken goal wasn't enough to get a result against Gilnahirk, the team eventually losing 2-1. The team were unlucky when Lee's close range effort was somehow scrambled off the line. The final game against St. Joseph's was a tight affair, with Kameron's effort sailing just over the bar. Lee, making another appearance off the bench was unlucky to be denied by a last ditch sliding tackle.
While the team was disappointed, there were a lot of good individual performances and positives to take into the next game.
Team: Aaron Black, Jay Greenaway, Ebony Stirling, Liam Woods, Kameron Black, Rylan Stirling (c), Evan Rowley, Reuben Madden, Lewis Carson, Lee Newberry.
