Most of the children are very confident at adding and subtracting whole numbers but this is the first time in P7 that we have looked at adding and subtracting decimal numbers. We would suggest that all the children watch the Corbettmaths Primary video on Monday and children in the Triangles and Squares group watch it again before completing the subtraction activities as they often forget about exchanging if the top digit is smaller than the bottom digit.
