This week we would like the children to use their map reading skills to identify the names of the countries in Europe and their capital cities. They look at the numbered map on the European Countries sheet and then use the Map of Europe sheet to identify the countries and capital cities. The capital cities are identified with a red star. The children record the information on the European Countries and Capital Cities worksheet. Number 1 has been completed as an example. There are a few capital cities for smaller countries, e.g. Andorra, which the children will need to google.
