This week we are going to be revising the written calculation methods for short multiplication. Before the children look at this over the next few days, we want them to practise their recall of the different times table facts. They need to complete the different multiplication wheels in this suggested order: x1, x10, x2, x5, x3, x4, x9, x6, x8, x7, x11 and x12 (they can leave out the x11 and x12 wheels if they are too difficult). There is an optional colouring activity they can do if they want once they complete the multiplication wheels. If they would like to, we would suggest they do the sheet with 1 star.
